Open plan Kitchen/Dining Room
Structural alterations were being considered for what was originally a separate kitchen and dining room. Design plans and scale drawings enabled the home owners to see their new space before committing to the building work going ahead.
The end product is a bespoke shaker style kitchen and coordinating dresser with granite work surfaces. The interior design scheme for this room cooled down a completely south facing room aspect. A hint of lime is introduced through the wall paint colour as a backdrop for an ivory kitchen with a dark emerald green granite work surface. For the window treatments, a contemporary bold fresh green and cream floral fabric design was chosen for the window and French doors to bring the outside in. The result is a calm and collected atmosphere against a backdrop of fabulous views of the countryside no matter how much the summer sun heats the garden up!
Living Room
The brief for this room was for an updated look, which incorporated the large T.V. but with a wish for it to disappear into the room scheme! “Bliss is a room without wires!”
Contemporary fabrics and surface textures breathe new life into this room. Colour choices are cool blue against hot warm chocolate! The reflective touches of chrome against the natural grain of wood create a casual yet stunning room scheme. The spatial layout created a comfortable entertaining seating zone and a separate T.V area.
A new fireplace in a timeless design with a beautiful painting set above has been installed fulfilling a focal point which overrides the large T.V. The entire design has a sharp 21st century appeal whilst still providing all the necessary home comforts and a casual aura.
This project was undertaken in partnership with Cuisine Design.
